Ọlọrun- Here’s The Meaning.

Ọlọrun means, “King of the heavens”.

Ọlọrun is a common name for God in Nigeria and of course in Yoruba land. Ọlọrun means ‘God/King of the Universe/heavens’.

Ọlọrun is a combination of two words, “Olú” and “Ọrun”.

Olú means “King”

Ọrun means “Heavens”.

Example:

1. Ọlọrun tótóbijùlọ! Ọlọrun, iwọ ni mo máa máa sìn! (God/king of the heavens that is bigger than them all! God, it is you I will always worship).
