Ọkàn- Here’s The Meaning.

Ọkàn is different from ọ̀kan. Note the placement of the tonal marks on each word is totally different. There are many Yoruba words that have this same phenomenon. They have the same letters but different tonal marks.

Ọkàn sounds reh-doh.

Pronunciation of Ọkàn: uh-kuhn

The meaning of Ọkàn is Heart or Mind.

That’s it! Just that. Ọkàn means Heart or Mind.

Example:

1. Ọkàn mí yín Olúwa l’ógo.

Meaning: My heart praises God in his Glory.
