When it comes to insults ehn.. The Yorùbá tribe has it. Any Nigerian can testify to this! Gbam. Gbammer. Gbammest! 😔 Seriously.. Like, Yoruba people love to insult. Most times, it’s not really serious though. Just for fun or just to tease someone… But Yoruba language has a large vocabulary of insulting words. So, we are sharing 30 of them with you! These painful Yoruba insults should be used carefully please!

A Mad person

2. Ọ̀dẹ̀ Buruku

A very wickedly foolish person.

3. Olè Ajíbolè

A Thief. A big thief.

A crazy person that is mentally derailed.

5. Arindin

A Dullard and slow person.

6. Olóṣì

A person fond of doing nonsense.

7. Òpònu

Mentally derailed person.

8. Ọdẹ játijàti

A Rubbish fool.

9. Alainilaakayè

A person without wisdom

10. Olódo ràbàtà

A Dullard, a big one.

11. Alaini’nkanṣe

A person that lacks job.

12.Ọ̀lẹ òṣì

A lazy person

13. Rádaràda

Rubbish

14. Ọlọtẹ

A Deceitful person.

15. Olori nlá bíi ti bọọlu

A person with a big head like that of a ball.

16. Didirin

A dullard

17. Mùmú

A fool

18. Adagbamaronu

A grown person that can’t think.

19. Dọdọyọ

20. Áláìlojutì aragalatiya

A person that doesn’t have shame from Aragalatia.

21. Dọdọmu

Dullard

22. Akuṣẹẹ

A poverty stricken person.

23. Sugọmu

Dullard or slow person.

24. Alafiṣe

A person fond of disgusting habits.

25. Kó tó rí bí ọ̀bọ lángído.

A person that looks like a monkey from Lángído.

26. Oniranu

Meaning: A person fond of rubbish.

27. Oloorun

A smelly and dirty person.

28. Ọ̀dẹ

A fool.

29. Oloriibu

A person of very bad head/destiny, a fool.

30. Olóríbúrúkú

A person of a stupid or worthless head/destiny.
